The biggest fashion “DO” of 2008 is bold florals and leaf patterns. Buy at least one floral item this spring. To update your existing wardrobe, attach rosettes to belts and bags or to cover buttons on blouses.
Sheer blouses are one of the hottest looks this spring. Wear a sheer top over another sheer, over a camisole. A short patterned vest over a solid sheer blouse is a versatile look that works for daytime or evening.
Color is key this season. The must-have colors are lavender, bright ‘taxi-cab’ yellow and all shades of green. Pick up a spring coat or handbag in one of these shades and wear it with a blouse in another of these colors.
Accessories are the best way for the budget shopper to update a wardrobe. Long necklaces are still in style so stock up a few of those at any inexpensive accessories store. While you’re there, pick up a wide wooden bracelet, and some scarves and sashes preferably in the colors noted above or in a floral pattern.
